The Stylist Behind the Chair
Brandi Gross
Specialty cuts and alternative color in Rapid City. Founder of The Panic Room. Over 15 years in the chair, with deep technical range across fades, mullets, hair designs, beard work, vivid color, and color correction.
Specialty work
is the work
Specialty work isn’t a side thing or a sometimes thing. It’s the only thing. Every fade gets shaped around your face, your hair texture, and how you wear your hair between visits.
Every color is planned around your starting hair, your lifestyle, and how many sessions the work realistically needs. The studio runs on appointments because specialty work needs time. A rushed fade and a rushed color both show.
The chair is mine.
The aesthetic is mine.
The work is the work.
Rooted in the
Black Hills.
With over 15 years of experience as a barber and hairstylist, I specialize in creating unique styles for diverse clients. My roots in the Black Hills inspire my work, allowing me to merge local culture with an alternative aesthetic.
I spent years at Black Sheep Parlour building the range that made specialty cuts and vivid color a true specialty, not a sometimes thing. The Panic Room is the next step: my own space, my own chair, where the specialty work is the only work.
The space
I built.
The Panic Room is at 540 Deadwood Ave, Suite 220, in Rapid City. One chair. One stylist. Cuts, color, and grooming work all happen in the same space, Tuesday through Saturday by appointment.
The space was built around alternative aesthetic culture, not retrofitted to tolerate it. Walk-ins are not the model. Every appointment gets planned ahead, especially color.
The full range.
Cuts and color anchor the work. Grooming services live alongside the chair. Every service runs on the same standard.
